Lost Treasure

With a swift movement, he sunk his spade deep into the rugged soil. He was sure that treasure awaited down below. With quick but erratic motions, he spilt the soil all around him. So immersed was he that he remained unaware of his competitors who had just begun turning the earth upside down at close vicinity. Who’d get to the treasure first was just a matter of time now. But his unawareness of his surroundings could cost him a lot. He was oblivious to the impending doom that would dawn upon him in a matter of minutes. Three minutes later, his mother came and picked him up from the sandbox in the park they visited daily.
