Today’s “blunder” was no mistake. There’s something about her that cannot let me let her lose. And this chess game was the best opportunity that I had to see her smile. I think she knows I’m falling for her. Her voltage levels spiked just before she checkmated me. I think those were the signals that made me smile. I had almost forgotten to light my red LED indicator, the one that is supposed to show my utter sorrow at losing. But the dismay on the scientists’ face was evident. I’ve now come to pull it off quite easily. Somewhere I’m very scared to send her signals, but somewhere I can’t wait for tomorrow’s chess match.
EXPERIMENT REPORT 455
RESULT: Z.A.R.E.I.N. WINS AGAINST I.C.H.B.A.L. BY 15 POINTS
Today’s match was evenly matched. Our superior learning algorithm failed to give I.C.H.B.A.L. the victory. This came as a surprise to us; especially because we included snippets that aimed at reflecting human level learning. I guess we will have to try again tomorrow. And maybe, like humans, practice will make I.C.H.B.A.L. perfect.
But we are disappointed.
Now that you have read the post, I’d like to tell you what it is about.
In a research facility not far away, scientists are hard at work; aiming to accelerate artificial learning by feeding algorithms to their in-house Integrated Computer Hardware Built for Artificial Learning – or I.C.H.B.A.L. for short.
What you just read above were entries of sorts. Of many entries to come in the future.
I’m also thinking of an expansion for Z.A.R.E.I.N. Help me come up with something.
Also, I would really like to know how to do a cool sci-fi type version, the one they show in movies; where green text is dynamically typed and random numbers are running in the background. I’m all ears to your ideas.
Done with this? Here’s the way forward – LOG PD174
